Taxi driver assaulted by fare dodgers

A TAXI driver was assaulted in Burgh Road, Skegness, in the early hours
of Sunday, December 23.
The taxi driver picked up two women and two men outside the Litten Tree
in Grand Parade, Skegness, at around 3.45am, and dropped the women
off at a block of flats in Bader Way, to the left of Alma Avenue.

The men asked to be taken to Chapel St Leonards, but the driver pulled
up on the way when they started messing around in the back.

One of the men punched the driver in the face, cutting his nose and
causing a large lump to his head, before they fled the scene without
paying.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area and
saw suspicious activity or saw the women being dropped off in Bader Way.

They would also like to trace these women, who went into the first block of
flats on the left hand side of Alma Avenue.
