Taxi takings and sat-nav stolen
A taxi driver had his takings stolen by thieves in Sussex on New Year's Day.
The incident happened after the male driver, from Horley, Surrey, dropped a
customer off outside Bewbush Leisure Centre, Crawley, in the early hours.
The lone passenger got out and spoke to a man who chatted to and then
threatened the taxi driver while he was still stationary.
The thief stole cash and a sat-nav from the vehicle before running from the
scene with the customer, police said.
Sussex Police said the incident took place at about 0135 GMT.
The taxi driver was not injured, a spokesman said.
