Taxi driver attacked by passenger.
A taxi driver has been assaulted in Collingtree Park in Northampton.
The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning when a taxi driver picked up four men from Gold Street.
One man was dropped off in Water Lane and two more in the area of Balen Way in Wootton Fields. The final passenger asked to be dropped off in Belfry Lane.
He then leaned over and punched the driver, who pulled over and got out of the car. The man then tried to hit the driver with an unknown implement.
The driver was left with a dislocated shoulder. The passenger fled but nothing was stolen from the driver or the vehicle, a police spokesman said.
The offender is described as white, aged between 17 and 20 with blonde hair. He was wearing dark jeans and a stripy jumper.
