I don't think he has, maybe someone from the London trade should ask him. Or maybe one of the London trade mags, if they can find any space in between the LTI ads.

He would be very interesting, but I doubt he would be as nice to the London PH trade as Red Ken has been.

I CONTACTED HIS PR DEPARTMENT AND THEY HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH AND SAID HE WILL BE INVITING A GROUP OF LONDON CABMEN FOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WE HOPE ! IBEFORE HIS CAMPAIGN ...THAT WAS IN SEPTEMBER LAST YEAR I HAVE NOT HEARD A THING SINCE IM INVITED SO I EMAIL THEM AGAIN NOTHING AS YET TO BE HONEST I DONT THINK HES BOTHERD ABOUT CABS

Let him get his feet under the table first, then hit him hard with the number 1 question will he allow London's finest to get rid of the LTI crap and let you get good modern cabs by doing away with the turning circle requirements

Boris Speaks to London Taxi Drivers
Today Boris spoke with a big group of London taxi drivers at the Royal Oak Taxi Centre in Paddington and set out how he plans to help their trade.

Surrounded by bacon butties and mugs of tea, Boris outlined his 5-point plan for improving the lives of cab drivers in London:

1. Scrap the midyear inspections which add to the cost of the licence, and are an unnecessary burden on cab drivers.

2. Scrap PCO Notice 44/06 which penalises cab drivers for stopping at red routes to allow passengers to use cashpoints and WCs.

3. Work with local councils to make rules on using bus lanes the same across London.

4. Give a representative of the taxi trade a place on the TfL Board.

5. Keep a distinct separation between black cabs and minicabs.

Boris said:

"London's taxi drivers are an institution and work hard to earn the right to drive on our Capital's streets. I do not believe in trying to wreck their trade in the way that Mayor Livingstone has been doing over the last eight years. I want to ensure London's taxi drivers can get on with their job of helping Londoners get around town."

I dont know, but if they are not it has just given me an idea, yes I know it only Tuesday
If we could get enough owners interested why not build them ourselves, or at least get the plant reopen.
The government would give grants and so would Europe have a word with VW, Nissan and Toyota to see if they would supply the engines and gear boxes get the former workforce back and make a European cab and then totaly feck LTI
As I said it only an idea but it could work

I think it would be good to terminate the gene that inhibits some London cabs drivers from having the ability to debate sensibly.
