candidates, or hedging their bets? Seem to be very supportive of Ken, do you think that will change? |

I'm not sure how you reach that conclusion Sandy? Unlike 'other' organisations that I could think off, the LTDA are not politically driven. One or two of the scribes in 'TAXI' have voiced an opinion about their choice for a mayor, but then one or two others have voiced opposition to the socialist dictator. The advertising for LTI has been brought up, the LTDA do not rely on advertising from LTI to produce the magazine. You'll remember there were no adverts from LTI for over 3 years when the LTDA tried to get alternative vehicles licensed. They won't turn down revenue, but unlike some other London trade papers, don't rely on them. I'm sure there will be plenty of sweetners on offer from all the candidates in the trade press shortly. They know we chat to passengers. |

I'm sure I read in a recent edition of 'Taxi' them saying something along the lines of; 'We can't upset him cos he could finish us off any time he likes.' I might be wrong though.

He gave with one hand and took away with the other. I think he was right on this one though. |
