January 21, 2008 Monday Taxi driver on hammer charge Winsford Guardian A WINSFORD taxi driver accused of threatening his passengers with a claw hammer will stand trial in March. It is alleged that Clifford Morgan, of Ambleside Close, threatened three males who were refusing to pay with the hammer on the A556 at Northwich on December 14. The 43-year-old denies the charge and will next appear at Knutsford Crown Court on March 7. ______________________ |
