04 Feb 2008 Cab Driver Attacked With Stun Gun A cab driver was electrocuted with a stun gun by a passenger. The 55-year-old was attacked after driving a man from Hall Road in north Hull to the Hessle Road end of Pickering Road, in west Hull. When the driver stopped the cab, he felt a sharp electrical pain in his neck, before the passenger ran off without paying the £6 fare. The attack happened at about 9.30pm on Saturday, and officers believe the driver was assaulted with a Taser stun gun. He was checked over by paramedics for lumps and redness to his neck, but did not need hospital treatment. The attacker is described as white, chubby, in his early 20s, and about 5ft 9ins tall. He wore a peaked green balaclava and dark clothes. Anyone with information on the attack is urged to call Humberside Police on 0845 6060222. Source: Hull Daily Mail |
