Post subject:  Rip off merchants at manchester airport

Loads of cab drivers at Manchester Airport have been ripping off punters for years. Whether it be from the Airport or when they work away from the Airport. Being a guy who frowns on this type of activity and someone who believes that anyone caught fleecing a punter should instantly have their licensed revoked then you can imagine how surprised I was to find a member of the Airport committee trying to fleece a punter.

Your not going to believe this but a joke of a taxi driver who has been driving a cab for "ten years" and who said he was a member of the Airport committee tried to fleece a friend of mine by bumping up the extras.

I have his plate number but i'm not going to publish it but just for the record my friend has a mobile phone photograph of the evidence.

I've never been a fan of the majority of Manchester Airport drivers because in my opinion most of them are lower than the low. I think this little exercise proves my point.

Is the incident going to be reported to the licensing authority?

It isn't and for this reason, once the driver realised who he had in his cab he didn't even charge her the full fare never mind the extras. She wouldn't have gone to the extreme of reporting him because it is his livelihood but you can bet your bottom dollar that she isn't the first passenger he's tried to fleece.

Well it certainly wasn't worth posting in the news section but I think highlighting the fact that a member of the Airport committee was caught red handed trying to rip someone off was indeed worth posting.

JD Please post it on here and let the council know, It is scumbags like this that give all of us a bad name, and leads to some drivers being wrongly accused by punters and leading to attacks on drivers.
To hell with its his livelihood he has been caught with his fingers in the till so to speak, so get shot I say
