5 Mar 2008 Centre’s £33,500 justice charge A 30-year-old woman has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice by telephoning a taxi firm and asking them to lie to the police. Clare Alexandra Sagar, of Dukes Brow, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in Dukes Brow on December 15. The charge of perverting the course of public justice relates to the same date when she is alleged to have asked the taxi firm to say that they had dropped her off a home. Sagar, who gave a reading of 111 against the legal limit of 35, was made subject to an interim driving ban and remanded on bail until March 17.
