'Sting' catches car thieves
Police have sent out a warning to car criminals after two thieves were
caught following a sting operation in the Benwell area of Newcastle.
A 28-year-old man and a 16-year-old youth found a parked taxi at
Fairholm Road with its satnav on display, and decided to steal it.
But the taxi was planted by police, who watched through hidden cameras.
