Taxi driver sprayed and robbed
Police are investigating after a taxi driver was sprayed with an an
incapacitant spray and robbed in a late-night attack in Northampton.
The incident took place at about 11.15pm on Friday at the junction of
Southampton Road and London Road in Far Cotton.
The 28-year-old taxi driver picked up two passengers in his red Skoda
Fabia at the Obelisk Centre in Obelisk Rise.
Once the taxi was in Southampton Road the driver was sprayed and the
men stole £50 and a satellite navigation system.
The first man was white, about 18 years old, of medium build, 5ft 10ins tall
with short dark blond hair. The second man was about 18, also white, of
medium build and shorter than his accomplice.
