Taxi's in Northampton are either LTI or the E7. So it was'nt a Taxi. Obviously he'll have some details as obviously they would be pre-booked.

Would'nt they? :?

They might have a name from a phone call, but can't see the robbers giving their real IDs somehow. :?

If and I say "if", this gentleman picked up these two robbers without a prior booking then he must share some of the blame for placing himself in the dangerous situation in the first place. On the other hand if the job was pre booked then he is totally blameless.

The story came by way of a police press release therefore any discrepancies in the article is entirely down to them. For the record, they would not divulge the name of the private hire company this gentleman works for.
