Moss gets £40,000 taxi from friends
Kate Moss has been given a £40,000 taxi as a belated birthday present
from her friends.
The model is planning to use her fashion know-how to personalise the
original black cab, a gift from Sadie Frost, Fran and Charlotte Cutler, and
Rhys Ifan's ex Jess Morris.
A source told The Mirror: "Kate had been hankering after a taxi for ages
but really wasn't expecting to be given one.
"It was a supreme effort by [her friends] to pay her back for all the
freebies she has given them over the years. They each contributed a
quarter of the cost.
"Both Kate and boyfriend Jamie Hince love the car and they have already
lined up a few finishing touches - one of which is going to be utterly
outrageous. Kate can't wait."
The steering wheel is being customised with Moss's initials and Kills
guitarist Hince is in the process of fitting an iPod, six speakers and a
hands-free mobile kit.
The source added: "Kate has raised the possibility of leopard skin
backseats and furry dice. No one's sure if she's joking or not."
