That's a bit harsh.
In Lothian & Borders, we have officers who have been caught over the limit and they are still working for the police - not forgetting those officers with convictions ranging form breech of the peace, to willful fire raising perjury and assault.
Coming to think of it, we even have an MP, Lord Watson, who was convicted of trying to set fire to the Prestonfield House hotel in Edinburgh. I believe he is back serving in the House of Lords.
