Today the 12 th of April is the 125th Melrose sevens, but we have been told that Melrose will be closed to all traffic including taxis from 9.30AM to 10.00PM and we will not be allowed to ply for hire until 10.00PM, there will be about 25k there and the only way we will be able to pick up is at a drop off pick up point and we must be pre booked :sad:
Its a shambles as its better than new year and we are normaly none stop for 18 hours or more

This is the usual rubbish from councils and pen pushers who will all be in front of the telly when 25,000 need to get home. :sad:

Usually the police then bin those proposals to ensure the folks get home and you earn out of it.

Please report back when it's all over to confirm how right I was. :D

Well thats it now until Christmas, they kept the road closed for safety grounds, so we jammed the drop/ pick up point and cleared everyone from there :D
