Who passed away on Thursday of last week, a friend of the Taxi trade, the longest serving woman MP, and definately her own woman. A maverick to some, just not enough in the Gas works like her. We need more, like her, and Dennis Skinner, and less toe the line careerist MP's like 650 others, don't we. Very Sadly missed, I say.

Surprised to be the first to mention her passing though.

mrs dunwoody was a lovely lady and was dumbfounded how many taxis are now in crewe and how long we had to wait in between jobs ,her office was just up the road from crewe station and used us hacks on a regular basis when coming off crewe station ,the fare was only about £2.80 but she always paid you £5,mind you this still didnt stop half of them winging about taking her, theres always them that are never happy, will be a great loss to transport and crewe in paticuliar, R.I.P
