A Bury taxi driver accused by a Manchester evening News reporter of illegally plying for hire near Old Trafford football ground was captured on camera.

The reporter alleged, "the driver wanted to charge him 20 pounds to travel from Man Utd football ground to Manchester city centre.

The vehicle shown in the evening news photograph is licensed to a Mr Sadiqi but it is the driver who will have some awkward questions to answer.

Well the local council best get their bums into gear and do a bit of enforcement.

Let's face it it's not going to be hard to plan, the games are all set weeks in advance, and they all roughly end the same time. :?

Trafford aren't too concerned about enforcement, similar to all the other surrounding areas.

He has now apologised and returned the cash. He claimed he had been `booked for another job', but picked up an M.E.N. reporter because of a `misunderstanding'.

Trafford licensing bosses are now taking legal advice about over-charging on big-match days and are investigating the case of the Bury driver.

I mean the law is only 161 years old, so you can understand them not knowing it. ](*,)
