Most of the conversions have engines around that size.

We finally have a price.

Several weeks ago I read a financial report saying the cost price was going to be in the region of 11 grand. It would appear costs have either risen or the report was a tentative guess?

I'm just wondering how many Chinese cab drivers can afford to pay 19 grand when they only earn about 40 pounds a week?

I suggest on those figures they wont sell any of these vehicles to Asian cab drivers never mind Chinese?

Regards

JD

The range they give is between 200.000 - 250.000 Chinese yuen, which works out at 15.4 grand to 19.1 grand so you conversion is fine but I have a major problem discerning their market?

If anyone can shed any light on the projected market then that would be most welcome.

You are probably right, on the other hand perhaps Geely are going to try to convince the Chinese Government that all taxis should be wheelchair compliant by 2010? lol

Complaints about fuel economy   if they had used the diesel Mitsubishi engine it would have been a lot better.
Mind you they have the intelligence to get rid of the Ford engine and gearbox, they must have been on here and read bexes posts

So even at that price you even get a decent Jap motor!! albeit petrol I bet it's more economical than the diesel in it now.

These people are used to pulling rickshaws and don't realise 25 mpg is good.

^^^Pure speculation on mpg
