I think any sane person would agree with him. Impossible to stamp out under current legislation. That's why Newcastle and everyone else are pizzing in the wind.

Nawaz was fined £350 for illegally plying for trade as well as £550 and eight penalty points for driving without insurance. He must also pay £1,100 in costs and £15 victim surcharge.

Says a lot about the state of nation, out of £1465 that was taken off Nawaz, £1450 went to the State and only £15 to the Victim. what exactly is a Victim surcharge???

That aside....if every time they caught a PH illegally plying they give that type of a penalty point award...irrespective of the fine....it would decrease dramatically.

Maybe the cops / councils would be keener to police this if they got to keep the dough

Every time someone is fined by the courts, £15 must be added to help fund various domestic crime's charities/schemes.
