I think they are a great addition to help drivers feel safer, but I can tell folks this for nothing, that firm will be lucky if they sell 50 over the next 10 years.

Firstly cos drivers only talk about safety just after they have been done over.

Secondly cos I knew/know a mush who manufactured these things about 10 years ago. Spent fortunes on it, and in the end gave up.

Basically there are too many sizes, too many councils taking too long to approve each model, and not enough business to make it work.

And how's about the screen is fixed in place and my kids wont appreciate it on a weekend when I want to take them to the seaside?

That aside I sadly have to fully agree eusasmiles.zip

As a PH driver its a hiding to nowt....most of my punters sit in the front before filling up the rear seats..especially the single punter. and i guess your more likey to be done over by one passenger than two where theres a witness. besides these things have been around for years...we used to call them dog guards..only difference is you might need a wee slot cut in it to hand the cash through.

Its strange...I drove purpose built cabs for years with fixed partitions.....customers eff and blind and bang and kick the partition....now driving a saloon HC with no partition they are one on one and good as gold.....go figure.

Funny old World....Maybe they dont like being caged up and treated like potential Criminals...i wouldnt.

almost 8 years of PH and touch wood no more than the Occasional Inadvertent knock on the head and several abusive outbursts caused by not letting them in the car in the first place..so most of my problems have been from outside the car and not inside it.
