The UK has 48,000 licensed Taxi drivers of which 24,500 are in London. As Scotland has a population similar to that of north (of the Thames) London, maybe there should be a section for north London.... |

I don't think population or numbers of cabbies has anything to do with it. As Alex said, this section is mainly for purely Scottish issues, since the legislation here is different. With that in mind perhaps you should request a section for the whole of London, since London also has different legislation to the rest of the country? |

Last time..... it was the Romans that built a wall to keep the Scottish out............... now it seems the Scottish are building an internet wall to keep the English and Welsh out .. as long as Skull stays over here it might be OK ......

Are you sure of the total figure of just 48,000 Hackneys in the UK? That would make just 23,500 in the UK outside london. Sounds a bit low to me. Anyone know the total number of licensed drivers, including HC & PH, in the UK & a split between PH & HC, & regional splits too, if possible? I have been trying to find this info on the Internet for months, but have not come across the right website. |
