| Post subject: | London - On The Brink ??? - 07 Reg off the road |
As a TX4 56 plate owner who has been off the road since Saturday, I have been waiting for good news that I can go back to work. At 3pm today the PCO announced that the first 400 07 Reg cabs can join the 600 56 plate cabs off the road. This is now a joke, have spent 2 days trying to rent a cab - no chance Will guess by Friday or early next week all TX4's will be off the road. Just waiting for the PCO to announce that our friendly Private Hire drivers can pick up on the street to cover the shortfall of licensed vehicles. |

Not really...I think if you check the history...the firm involved has a long checkered past of not giving a flying fig.......and London has been extremely belligerent. CC |

I'm not aware of any technical differences between the initial batch of TX4's to the one sold last week, bar an improved radiator and glass headlamps . . . so does this mean the whole fleet of TX4's will come off the road?
And folks laughed at me for buying a TX2 . . . phew, good choice!

Get all those affected and storm the PCO and demand that the turning circle is abolished so that you can rent a cab Allied cabs with there E7 would be more than happy to oblige |

What somebody should be doing, is e-mailing all councils, with links to what is happening regarding the fire situation, I would be surprised if most councils even knew there was a problem. but we can leave out Europe.

Apart from the TX4,what other vehicles (and I understand boats) has the VM engine been used in? Any reports of fires? Or is it only in the TX4? My thoughts are with all drivers unable to work. |
