Have just spoken to PCO, they will be having a meeting tomorrow morning to agree wording of a statement that will be released on their website at 12 noon tomorrow Friday. Odds on all TX4's will be withdrawn from service. Be Lucky Paul |

Nobody knows what the cause of these fires is. Nobody can be sure that the other TX4s don't have the same problem. They aren't going to wait until they all start burning. The press and public would eat them alive if a tragedy occured. |

Since the PCO removed the 56 plated tx4's and the early 07's have there been any more fires? It maybe a coincidance but hopefully the problem is contained to the early models only. No great comfort to the guys forced off the road due to no fault of their own but how catastrophic to our trade would it be if ALL the tx4's where banned
Lets hope this problem is sorted out very shortly. |

Gusmac has a point, the later ones weren't made any different to the earlier models. |

Gusmac I agree with you whole heartedly. The drivers who are still working are bang out of order, surely you cant be that desperate after a few days. You will have to suffer the consequences if you are caught and you wont get much sympathy from your peers who are playing the game. I know I am going to get some stick now for this statement, you ain't got my bills and who do you think you are, but I believe you will never be able to live with yourselves if a tragedy happens |

If it was a question of letting them back on, then that decision would be made today or yesterday, and wouldn't need a meeting to arrange the wording of an announcement. TBH it doesn't look good for LTI, or more importantly the lads who have bought LTI motors.

They may be running any announcement past their lawyers before releasing it. |

The reason why the PCO are going to release a statement at noon on a Friday is simple. By the time the trade has received and and taken advise on it,by then it's late Friday afternoon and people are off for the weekend. By the time Monday comes, people have charmed down - or that's what the PCO plans... |

Or maybe Manganese Bronze are going to make a statement to the Stock Exchange first... http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/84f24836-8a9b ... fd18c.html I like the ''Shares in Manganese rose 7½p to close at 299p'' bit! |
