Rumours abound about an all new hybrid 100mpg Taxi from metrocab. Has anyone actually seen one? Has anyone actually driven one? Do the Americans have one at Roswell? Is Skippy the figment of a deranged imagination? Will we ever know? Will we ever care? What do you think? Was the Titanic really the Olympic? Conspiracies abound.

I dunno, but I'm sure a wankel (that's an L) engine will probably not live up to the expectations of the Taxi trade, certainly not if it's more expensive than the current two models. :?

The shape is an improvement on the old metrocab......just!

Image

I may make a call or 2 to see about a test drive if it really is possible!!

Has there been any formal announcements regarding cost, release dates etc ?

Probably be £40,000. these producers all think we earn a fortune.
I'm surprised we haven't seen a £65'000 MPV with all the whistles and bells trying to get into the market.
Why cant the PCO and TFL find a vehicle for about 20,000 we could change then every two or three years then.
The throwaway Taxi company, sounds good?

A "Wankel" is an old Norfolk word for a Council Official.
