The public don't want to hear of greedy, grasping taxi drivers, getting a rise when they are already worried about their jobs. This rise couldn't have come at a worse time . . . . Mark my words, the public will punish us for it . . . . .

You Edinburgh Cabbies are popular My heart bleeds. Does this 20p mean that they're gonna stop doing things like pretending they don;t know the way to my house in order to go a longer route? Taxi fares are already too high and there are too few black cabs in Edinburgh. As a result, taxi drivers earn far more than can possibly be justified for what is a relatively low skilled job. Lets face it anyone can do this work! Prices should be reduced not increased! |

It just goes to show how clueless our trade representatives are, but the sad thing is, their actions only reflect the stupidity of the average Edinburgh Cabby - you couldn't make it up.
