Story at:- http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbc ... /810130308 "Although round, black bowler hats are an uncommon sight in London nowadays, decades-old British rules required that a gentleman be able to sit comfortably in the back of a London Taxi with his hat on." What do you expect from the American media, the truth? Shame that decades-old British rules don't require a driver to be able to sit comfortably and drive a London Taxi with his cap on. |

It would appear to be near identical to the article posted by the associated press several weeks ago. http://www.livemint.com/2008/09/0411162 ... -blac.html Regards JD |

Due to 19 of them going on fire, and mechanical failures and LTIs lackluster attitude to owners, owners all over the Uk are getting rid of the cabs in favor of other manufacturers. These cabs are over priced by 14k, compared to the others. Only London's drivers are forced to by these totally rubbish cabs by the PCO, if they had a choice there would be NONE in London Posted On 10/10/2008 9:47:03 PM But we do have a choice now?
