Dot2Dot's fares can be found at http://www.dot2.com/Home.aspx Heathrow to Canary Wharf £30 single,£58 return 'Central' London to Heathrow £16 single,£30.40 return Both have a 20% discount in October. |

I predicted this many months ago. They tried a similar idea up in Edinburgh, what these Bus operators fail to grasp is that Taxi users want to go from A to B, and not via D, E, F ,G and every other hotel in London. With journeys to the Docklands taking over two hours is it any surprise they drive around empty? |

If passengers want to get the bus to/from the Airport, they'll pay a fiver for the normal London Transport service. |

How much is it in a cab then, do you charge for the cab or the number of punters |

Central London to Heathrow is around the £50 - 60 mark depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. We only charge the one meter rate regardless of the number travelling. |

The taxi trade doesn't sells itself short, it just doesn't sell itself at all. |

Why not get together and run an advertising campaign in the press and radio. Give all the fact and figuers Am I correct the James Whale is now on the London airways

How do you persuade several thousand individual taxi drivers to part with the dosh? Most would probably agree that it's a good idea but getting them all to part with the readies is another thing altogether. There will always be some who are happy to benefit from other people's outlay.
