Masked men in alleged Ribbleton 'taxi' raid
Masked armed robbers held a knife to a taxi driver's throat in the Ribbleton area of Preston, police said.
It is alleged the three men jumped in the white Toyota Avensis estate at about 9.15pm on Sunday as the "private hire taxi driver" waited after being called to collect a fare in Lynn Drive, Ribbleton.
The knife man, described as about 5ft 8ins tall, aged 18 to 25, and wearing a hooded top and scarf over his face, is alleged to have held the knife to the man's throat while his two accomplices climbed in the back seat.
Both are believed to have been dressed in dark clothing, one with a jacket with grey markings to the shoulder, and both are also thought to be aged 18 to 25 years old.
The 27-year-old victim told police he was made to hand over part of his takings, sat nav and mobile phone before escaping from the vehicle and alerting a member of the public.
The group are believed to have run off towards the Faringdon Park Estate.
Anyone with information should call Preston Police on 01772 203203 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
