Brothers jailed for knife attacks on Hatfield taxi drivers
TWO brothers who held knives to the throats of taxi drivers as they robbed them have been jailed indefinitely.
David and William Wall, both of Beechfield Road, WGC, giggled as the full extent of their crimes was read to Judge John Bevan at Luton Crown Court this afternoon (Friday).
The pair's mother fled the court as prosecutor David Chrimes told the judge how they carried out three knifepoint attacks in Hatfield.
The attacks on three drivers, left one hospitalised and the borough's taxi trade rocked back in August.
Sentencing them Judge Bevan said: "It is pure chance that your victim didn't suffer life-threatening injuries."
David, 24, was sentenced to eight years and William, 19, six years and must serve a minimum of four and three years respectively.
