Black Cab drivers change their name by deed poll to Warburtons in new ad drive By Andy Rudd, Mirror.co.uk 23/10/2008

Mirror!

Black cab drivers across London have changed their name by deed poll to Warburton in a revolutionary new advert by bread makers Warburtons.

They have become ‘live’ embassadors and will also carry loaves of bread in their logo emblazoned cabs to give to customers.

The Warburtons cabs will also appear in four other cities including Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and Cardiff.

Taxi driver, Ken Warburton (née Andrews), says: “I changed my name to Warburton by deed poll last week. Now I just need to convince the wife to do the same. It’s all in a day’s work for me – it’ll give my passengers a laugh and help put a smile on their face during all the doom and gloom.”

Jane Sutton, spokesperson for the company, says: “Chatty taxi drivers were recently voted in the top ten most lovable things about Britain so they’re the perfect fit for us as we convert the nation into Warburtons bread lovers!

You're a lot of things Mr A, however I won't type them on here, it may just offend some.

I'm shallow enough to change my name to Shell if I thought it'd do me any good. Some people might even suggest the initials MT as a prefix
