Frances O'Grady general secretary of the TUC has made much of this as has the general secs of UNITE RMT GMB PCS USDAW and many more. wouldnt expect MILIBLAND TO LEAD ON IT BUT HE WILL BE PULLED INTO LINE BY THE PARTY.

Actally no I know a couple of people on zero hours contracts it enables them to semi retire and work fewer hours in many cases it suits BUT there are plenty of cases where it doesn't it's not the zero hours contracts themselves which are at fault but the WAY in which they are used by some businesses to maintain a bank of staff who only get work when the workload peaks and none when it is quieter

A bit like our council that insists on licensing enough taxis to fully meet demand on the BUSIEST night of the year
