Correct.....if the west hadn't lied and then broke 5 treaties they signed with the Soviet Union when the soviets agreed to bring down the Berlin wall and allow Germany to unite as one nation again, we wouldn't be having this problem now would we??
The Russians have seen the west expand closer and closer to its borders which they promised they wouldn't. The EU and NATO have swallowed up many ex-soviet countries bringing them into our sphere of influence, and now we're doing the same with Ukraine as we did with Poland, Hungary etc.
Putin is no mug and realises if he loses his influence there NATO will have military bases along the Ukraine Russia border quicker than you can blink. Ukraine is Russia’s red line..…And unlike Obama if you cross Putin’s red line he will react, with as much force as he deems necessary.
