US hypocrisy, Turkey can stop an uprising but Syria can't???

It is clear that this was Erdogan making sure all his opposition are crushed and trying to make sure that all key military, legal, educational and political positions are filled with people who back him. The US will always back him no matter what sort of a monster he turns into as long as he is anti Russia and Pro USA

It is far from "clear". That is just a theory being put about by some who want it to be true.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... d-eye.html
remove potential opposition, you'll win the game... it was preludium to fourth partition but unfortunately the germans've found loads of bodies....
question is who'll find bodies of opposition in Turkey? there's thousands of them already.... i'm pretty much sure most of them will disappear without any sign...
aaaaaaand Turkey joining the EU is a dream of walking dead, methinks...

What are you on about "rose tinted glasses"?
I just think it was a proper attempted coup and not a made up one.

I think it was a faked one, he's got form for doing such things. Erdogan attacks freedom of expression. Peaceful demonstrators protesting the destruction of Gezi Park were attacked with truncheons, tear gas, and water cannon in 2013. Police brutality sparked protests in 60 cities, which were violently suppressed.
