They clearly weren't around when the railways were nationalised. The trains were awful in the sixties.

Kings cross station was dismal back in the "good ole days" look at it now.

Privatization was the catalyst to change decades of underinvestment in the railways and to change the negative attitude of staff and customers and also to prove once and for all that railways need subsidies something that all political parties failed to understand for over 40 years

The problem with subsidies to private companies is with creative accounting the money ends up in shareholders pockets instead of being used too improve the services to the customers.

BUT can you undo 20 years of privatisation without it being an even bigger cost to taxpayers :?: The Germans in particular would be looking for a very large compensation package as they run just about half of all services

When Brexit is implemented re-nationalise the railways, water, electric and gas industry, these are all in majority control of overseas companies who have made huge profits at the expense of the inhabitants of our Islands,as such no compensation should be paid to these companies.

Looking forward to all this.....

Can the Railway guage be 4' 8 1/2"?

Can Water usage be charged in Imperial Gallons?

Is there a avoirdupois measurement for electricity usage and if there is can we use it?

Gas can back to cubic feet as quick as they like.

I am presuming that Taxi Tariffs can carry on with yards and miles. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
