EURO HUMILIATION: Germany ‘freaked out’ as Greece 'could ditch EU currency for US DOLLAR'
GREECE could be poised to humiliate Brussels by ditching the euro and instead choosing to be tied to the US dollar, Donald Trump’s reported pick as EU ambassador has sensationally claimed.

That is amazing when you think about it ! It would give the Greeks a chance of getting out of austerity and getting back on to their feet. This could be a great deal for the USA and the Greeks.

No doubt it would become a launch pad/base for USA artillery (closer to Syria etc), for that the Greeks would probably be bankrolled, and given favourable trading conditions. Dare I say that due to our connections to the States - we may also benefit through being able to trade with Greece, who incidentally will obviously have to get their house in order.

With tactics like that.......Trump could bring down the EU if they do not toe the line.

Give a Bairn money and it'll waste it on sweeties....the EU encouraged Greece to borrow and overspend just so Greece was shackled to and forever in debt to the EU Devil Itself.

It's how the EU works...luckily we Brits are not prepared to sell ourselves to the same EU Devil.

What have you seen that tells you that? Figures that I have seen indicate that our debt is roughly half of Greece's.

Hardly Surprising after what we gave to the EU for years in their bid to buy new eastern European Financial corpses to turn into good little European states...that money or at least a goodly part of it came from us and now we are fast becoming a financial corpse over it. In their Bid to cure some of its states the EU will eventually make them all terminally ill.
