Didn't think Kenyon came over that strongly on Question Time last night. Although he was at a disadvantage to Burnham in that environment - better to play safe than risk a car crash on national TV I suppose.

I didn't watch it, but he is an ordinary person doing an ordinary job.

He is exactly what we need in parliament rather than career politicians.

Definitely, but the by-election's tied up with Labour leadership nonsense. Not sure if that works for or against Kenyon.

the most recent poll I have seen (Survation) suggests Burnham has opened up a 10point lead over Kenyon.

I have seen other commentators suggesting that their (less scientific) methods show neck and neck but nobody is willing to commission a different pollster company which might show if the last one is accurate or taken from a biased sample

saw a clip of chanel 4 news interviewing people in Makerfield and lots of them are going to vote Burnham because he will replace Starmer but had it been a general election would have voted reform or greens
