Did you cry for Pol Pot's kids, or for Sadam's? Or were you just happy that the world had lost a scumbag?

Are you comparing Thatcher to Pol Pot or Saddam?

Are you nominating her for sainthood?

Why would I do that?

But she didn't gas her own population or carry out mass executions as you alluded to - whilst she may have waged war on trades unions, she actually showed union inadequacy - if the unions had stuck together they'd have brought her down in a couple of weeks - the fact that they didn't stick together wasn't her fault in actual fact it played into her hands.

What she did may not have been as extreme but it was a lot closer to home.

Would you like me to express some fake remorse over her death? Trot out some old shite about what a strong leader she was and how she put the Great back into Britain?
Forget it, I'll leave that to the politicians, and the morally outraged on here.
The only regret I have is that it didn't happen 34 years earlier, and I'm buggered if I'm going to pretend otherwise.

I don't disagree - but she didn't gas her own people or inflict year zero.

One of the ironies is the Falklands war - the thing that made her the Iron lady was brought about by her own governments defence cuts - if the Argentinians had waited one month or the cuts hadn't happened, British History would be different.

There was no democracy with the woman. If you disagreed with her as a cabinet minister....you were sacked. She beleved in her own apparent superior intellligence that she was never wrong!!! That became her downfall. She ruined tens of thousands of lives - I am not at all sorry.

So no-one voted for her? ](*,)

Read the post properly - I refered to the Cabinet #-o

The best thing she done was change the labour party. they became New labour
more right wing ,more intune to her political view.

She came when The UK needed someone strong to lead it out of a right old mess.

What a sad day for TDO.

Think I'll take some time out. I like a debate, not the rantings of a bunch of demented sick [edited by admin].

The woman isn't cold yet.

May she rest in peace.

You lot will not.

Goodbye.

Sad thing is that they have been desperate for this day.

Not sure she was my cup of tea, but if she hadn't done many of her industrial cullings, this country would be in the mess Spain, Ireland and Portugal are in. Let alone Cyprus.

Were not in a mess now are we  Weve got a thriving manufacturing industry havent we ?
