Right, now you have given the GROSS cost, how about taking off what we get back so that we have the NET cost which is the actual cost.

Well add in the extra £13billion the EU have had this last year from the UK it's still at £65billion.

Come on Nidge give us the gross figure that the uk has paid to the EU since we joined and the gross figure that we have received back in the same time. That will be the true cost to the UK and it will be nowhere near the figures that you quote.

It's all here..from Auntie Beeb herself.

That's an opinion, not a fact.
He also thinks Gibraltar is Spanish. Do you (and the EBC) agree with that too?

No..but that doesnt mean I dont belive the guy about his Views on Scotland in the EU..

Any such figures would be so manipulated and twisted that no truth or fact could gleaned from them....crooked barstewards showing little more than a cooked set of books that never get signed off as honestly completed by their own accountantcy guys.

His words aren't really meant for Scotland. They're for the consumption of his own pesky Basque and Catalan separatists.
His fishermen would string him up if he opposed Scotland's EU membership.

Anyway, the whole issue could be settled by either Cameron or Snr Rajoy.
All either has to do is submit an official question on behalf of their respective member state.
If the answer is as simple as they claim, it would strengthen their case and blow a huge hole in the independence movements of both countries.
Yet neither is prepared to do so. :?

Of course, if you don't like the answer, it's better not to ask the question.

The EU hasn't signed any accounts off for the last 10 years.

Germany, as the biggest economy, is also the biggest contributor, Poland is the biggest receiver. The UK contributes much more than it receives too, about €4.7bn more. Why the gap? The UK is a rich country and the EU points out that although it spends less in the UK than the national contribution, the British economy gains much more from access to European markets and contracts. UK exports to the EU were worth nearly €12bn in September alone.

And like I said it costs the UK over £65billion a year to be in the EU. Money that could be better spent on our own people.

How much per day were we getting from the EU?

Don't cloud this issue with facts Grandad. They'll think you're some sort of lefty looney .

While we await Nidge's reply from UKIP towers, that figure represents less than a quid each a day.
The trade alone is probably worth far more than that, along with the jobs it supports.
