Thank you Jasbar, Skull and Gusmac.
You've shown your true class here.
I couldn't stand the woman's political beliefs but to delight in her death is appalling.
good post.
The woman caused thousands of people to die, and didn't lose any sleep over it. I don't do hypocrisy. I'm glad she's no longer with us, the world feels a whole lot cleaner place because of it.
As for those who can't see how she laid the grounds for the economic mess we're in, and from which we're all suffering in the taxi trade, then that proves the adage you don't have to be bright to be a cab owner.
The banks turned us over because of the laissez faire capitalism she adopted. She created the platform for bankers to take our economy into the toilet.
High interest rates, profits into the hands of those with capital. High unemployment, low wages, benefits cuts, job insecurity, all working against us. And the recipe being followed by cameron to day.
The value of today is to be able to express my disgust at what she did. And for her legacy.
But it comes as no surprise that the usual suspects take a moral high ground they're not entitled to. They can't think outside their own narrow selfish box. And they are Thatcher's legacy of greed and selfishness that allows a climb up the ladder, and then pull the ladder away so others can't achieve the same.
BTW I vouch Gusmac and his separatists are cock a hoop at the reaction today. Because, as we all remember how she inflicted the poll tax on Scots, and removed the regional grant system, the case of separation in the minds of all Scots will be ever so much stronger. if the ballot were to be held today, we'd be independent already.
