Everything the coalition have done since the election has been designed to protect that rating, all the cuts and austerity have been in preference to losing the rating. Now they're borrowing more than Labour ever borrowed, still in recession, and now the rating has gone. Osbornes in trouble now.

Who's in it together? Not F***in me.

fekk me the pennies dropped

so wot yer gonna do about it demo, strike, civil disobedience, or fekk all

Saw a "demo" yesterday in Cambridge. about 100 members of the EDL (English defence league) protesting on one side, and the Anti facist league (or something like that) protesting on the other side, with about 500 cops from four other forces in the middle.

And the winners were?

The cops in the middle, on a nice day out in Cambridge.

No matter how bad off you are, there's always somebody in a worse boat.
At least the Uk is not as bad off as Italy. Just think what will happen when Dickio Pornosconi gets elected again.
No triple-A-rating again - but XXX!

France and the USA have lost their top notch rating, so what. The present bunch have given us neither austerity or growth.
All they seem to do is fudge. This budget will show what they are made of, if anything.
Be nice to see them do something positive like cutting Corporation tax and doing away with Capital Gains tax. They could also privatise the BBC for me.[/quote]

And you reasoning for such policies IS :?:

And weve had no austerity :!: really :?: :?:[

Dry your eyes Princess.
