There is a ring of truth in that cynical as it is when you view it like that politics does make more sense

I kinda like this one :wink:

"Politics" is derived from the words "poly" meaning "many", and "tics" meaning "blood-sucking parasites."

My old man god rest his soul always used to say that "Politicians should be made to work at a sewerage farm before they become an MP". This way they've got to work with shit before they speak it.

I found this Online Dictionary definition of a politician as being fairly accurate:
