Not sure who this quote is by but was told it today by a customer

The definition of Politics: The art of convincing other people to believe your lies

There is a ring of truth in that cynical as it is when you view it like that politics does make more sense

My old man god rest his soul always used to say that "Politicians should be made to work at a sewerage farm before they become an MP". This way they've got to work with shit before they speak it.

I found this Online Dictionary definition of a politician as being fairly accurate:
