All of my youth I was a staunch republican not active, but in principle and had never considered myself British and had the Scottish referendum been held 25 years ago I would have been running about the streets wae my face painted blue, i seem to have mellowed now and for what ever reason feel like a Scottish brit, i like the British people but not the monarchy or the establishment, it's a crazy mixed up world, Ive read about larkin and connoly over many years and enjoyed the music and comradery but I belive the causes have been hijacked, |

Sod the nationality many will say its about the Workers ...................indeed but in my experience its the Irish and Scottish workers with the most determination and courage ................even Scargill was half mick .....................the best of them all James Connnolly of course  As for the referendum had i been a Scottish resident i would have voted for independence ........................but truthfully living down here i'm glad it went the way it did we need the Scottish guts and Tory hating population involveld ......too hopefully get this nation to a decent left wing REPUBLICAN administration
