Doctors don't give a stuff about cabbies I found that out the hard way so I don't have a lot of sympathy for them as they are still well paid compared to their colleagues in most parts of the world ! |

The problems lay within. Labour under Bliar chucked billions at the Nhs, with most of it disappearing in massive salary hikes, and a reluctance of doctors before them to let junior doctors have easier hours. Also it was not that long ago that they were working a 90/100 hour working week, that is now forgotten.........and now they want more! So why when they are going to get gold plated salaries, and gold plated pensions, can they not wait until they are properly qualified. Just like most over the top paid professions, it is a very broken organisation that requires plaster made out of money to make it better - until the next time. |

Just like servicemen joining up doctors know what they can expect, they should choose an alternative career path of course once qualified (often at taxpayer expense) and in a specialist field they can take £250K+ a year OFF the NHS and work 20 hours a week in a hospital and another £250K+20 hours in Harley street |

from BBC News website Strikes by junior doctors in England are back on after talks with the government have broken down. A 24-hour walk-out next Tuesday will be followed by a 48-hour strike on 26 January in the contract dispute. A third day of action will take place in February, the British Medical Association said. The action is likely to lead to thousands of non-emergency operations and hospital appointments being cancelled in the coming days. But despite the failure to reach a deal, both sides have already indicated they want to keep negotiating ahead of next week's walk-out. It comes after the union agreed to cancel three strikes last month to re-enter talks with the government. The BMA had until midnight to decide whether it still wanted to take industrial action - or face having to re-ballot its members. looks like its back on trotsky will be getting very excited |
