German right-wing party pulls ahead of Merkel in regional election poll

GERMANY's anti-immigrant party Alternative for Germany (AFD) has pulled ahead of the centre left SPD in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt just before vital regional elections which will see Angela Merkel mauled at the ballot box.
