Imagine the news if he was handing out remain leaflets

'I Was Called Racist For Handing Out Leave Leaflets'

An LBC listener has revealed he was attacked and threatened for campaigning for Vote Leave.

Ian Collins took the call from Robert in Dulwich who said he was called a racist and a ****, while someone threatened to stab him - all because he wants to leave the EU.

It comes after politicians promised a "kinder politics" following the killing of Labour MP Jo Cox last week.

He told LBC: "Yesterday, I was called racist all day. I was called a ****. My friend had his foot stamped on. It was scary.

"We had our stall kicked, punched, we had leaflets taken from the table, someone tried to knock the table over.

"The weird thing is, I'm half Caribbean and my friend is Jamaican. All these people over the course of the day, every single person who called us a racist or a **** - and there were many - were all white, middle-class people.

"Someone threatened to stab me - because I was handing out leaflets outside Brixton tube.

"One guy stood just a foot next to me and every time I went to hand out a leaflet, he said 'He's a racist'. It was bizarre."

A guy in Ravenshead near us was threatened with petrol bombs unless he took his Vote Leave flags, posters and bunting down. They didn't phase him, he put more up. He erected two more flag poles.

And all the above are reasons why I've always believed we are leaving.

The current polls underestimate leave numbers in my opinion.

I agree, the polls are well out of touch with reality, they are cherry picking their pollees in a bid to beef up the Bremain side., either that or 80% percent of the people I know are telling me a pack of lies about their wanting to leave the EU and that's highly unlikely.

Has anyone ever met anyone who has taken part in any of these polls?

Another forum i am a member of a similar poll came out 55/45 in favour of staying just remember we work in an industry which is flooded out with immigrant workers so cabbies and Ph will be biased towards exit. many other professions such as legal, accountancy medical etc are very much pro Europe so the uk population as a whole will balance out

I think it will be close with maybe a 53/47 split or closer
