Hilary Benn sacked from shadow cabinet Shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn has been sacked from the shadow cabinet amid claims he was encouraging ministers to resign should Jeremy Corbyn ignore a vote of no confidence. Labour's leader faces a vote of no confidence over claims he was "lacklustre" during the EU referendum. A Labour source told the BBC Mr Corbyn had "lost confidence" in Mr Benn. Mr Benn said there was "widespread concern" about Mr Corbyn's "leadership and his ability to win an election". He added: "There is no confidence to win the next election if Jeremy continues as leader. "In a phone call to Jeremy I told him I had lost confidence in his ability to lead the party and he dismissed me." Secret ballot Senior Labour sources also told the BBC that a significant number of shadow cabinet resignations were likely if Mr Corbyn were to ignore the result of the confidence vote. So Labour and Tories are both getting ripped apart and the UK's political stability is no more |

Thats about right then because it seems half of our MP's chose the opposite of what they have spoken out for in the past no wonder Britain sorry Englands future is looking bleak |

If Corbyn still has the support of party members, he will win any election anyway. And if it comes to a vote and he wins I would think that many of his opponents would be deselected for the next general election. |
