Come on Captain, The first one is in the US and was the risk to the USmarket. The second one was in Switzerland. You need to do better. Can I point you to something obvious here HSBC is not a british bank. The clue is in the name. Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. The have a big base in London but are not a British bank.

HSBC are an International bank I don't think they are specifically Chinese , British, American or anything they are listed on more than one stock exchange or so i am told
