Is it me or has this leadership campaign started to become a pillow fight between two schoolkids fuelled by ridiculous promises that neither will be able to keep ?

Tory leadership: Voters 'issued two ballots' by mistake

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48890803

Some Conservative members have been issued with more than one ballot paper to vote for the next party leader and prime minister, the BBC has learned.
One party insider estimated that more than a thousand voters could be affected.
Members are warned that voting twice will mean they are expelled, the Conservatives said.

It is written on the ballot paper that voting twice will get you expelled. If it is only 1,000 papers then provided the winner wins by more than 1,000 it shouldn't be a problem. However I am sure that if the electoral commission, where the ballot papers are returned to, will be able to check if anyone has voted twice by the serial numbers on the ballot papers.

The ballot papers were sent out by the electoral commission not the conservative party.

Apparently the new Lib Dems leader has said it's time for a change in politics and she wants to stop Brexit.

Clearly her new politics doesn't include the democratic vote.

That is the woman when at university made her mouth go about student fees and all the wrongs about having to pay for higher education and then stood to be an MP. for the liberals, got elected, was part of the tory/lib coalition government and introduced the much hated fees.
Definitely someone who speaks with forked tongue and who you cannot trust, another making promises that they cannot keep.
