I loved the way the SNP leader said it was the tories and libdem voting for Labour that swung it. Not that any SNP voters decided to vote for Labour, oh no, they just didnn't come out and vote at all.

He's been at the top of Scottish politics for years now, but I suspect most readers on here will never have even heard of him till recently (ditto most people up here, I'd guess). He's certainly got more of a public profile now

Well indeed.

And he specifically said on Monday that others weren't using his data, and that the bill was simply due to the old SIM card.

Now he's saying he knew about his son's use the previous Thursday.

He's now a total lame duck, but whether he'll go is another matter. Humza's supporting him, because he can't afford to lose a senior minister, particularly in view of the talent puddle he'd have to select a replacement from.
