Two possibly related points:

- they raised the 'no confidence' threshold from 15 to 33% of Tory MPs last week
- 57/43% is the lowest winning margin of any elected Tory leader

My take - they expected it to be close and wanted to protect the winner (at least for a while).

Will she be the one to lead the Tories into the next election? I am not sure she will be.

Think she has more chance of being a leader at the next election than Starmer.
